  • WHAT IS COMBI?

    COMBI stands for Communication for Behaviourial Impact. This program was pioneered World Health Organization (WHO) and implemented by Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

    COMBI COMBI is a dynamic approach yang menggunakan utilising startegic social and communication mobilisation to influence  behavarioual change in an individual, family and community towards a healthy behaviour.

    COMBI is based on behavioral change, communication and marketing theories.  A comprehensive and flexible approach in designing, implementing and monitoring social and communication mobilization actions that are modified according to the objectives of the chosen behavior.
    To implement the COMBI program, five (5) basic principles that use integrated communication strategies should be practiced;

    • Administrative Mobilisation / Public Relation / Advocacy
    • Community Mobilisation
    • Advertising
    • Personal Presentation / Interpersonal Communication
    • Point-of-Service Promotion

  • Objective

    COMBI is aimed to;

    Mobilizing various community sectors to address dengue issues in the community.
    Establish shared responsibility within the community.
    Affect and strengthen the decisions / behaviors / social norms in the community.

  • Target Group

    The COMBI project is a community-oriented approach to the community. The target group for this project is based on the following situations: Locales that have been affected by the outbreaks are either;

    • Repeated Outbreaks Area
    • Uncontrolled outbrreak or
    • Outbreak locality
    • Locality with cases before
    • Locality with high Entomological Index
    • Locality that voluntarily establishes a COMBI project
